Development of Bioactive Peptides Derived from Red Algae for Dermal Care Applications: Recent Advances

Bioactive peptides produced from proteinaceous red algae biomass with varied structures have garnered much attention in biological applications and production. Unfortunately, there been few studies on developing approaches to feasible bioactive peptide production purification. Our goal this article is explore the latest trends easily applicable for extracting cutaneous applications. Bibliometric statistics show that number of scientific publications growing, Asia ranking as highest producer. Peptide purity bioactivity are most important factors consider while identifying using various separation techniques. To generate novel high yield low cost, future research should focus increasing yields improving methods. Moreover, human clinical trials be conducted validate their potential health benefits.
